Sympathy Nerves

Tomorrow morning I’m playing the piano for K’s grad school audition. K has her heart set on one school, so this will be her only audition.

I’ve been playing at K’s lessons for three months, and we had a few extra rehearsals during the past couple weeks for good measure. Her audition pieces have become my own as we perfected them together week by week, day by day.

The more personally invested I am in a performance, the more nervous I get, but I hope my commitment will come through in the music. K’s future depends on it. No pressure.

Think happy thoughts for us at 10:00!
